GTC Systems CFO, Cathy Wang, selected as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s 4th Annual “CFO of the Year” award.

The CFO of GTC Systems, Cathy Wang received an honorary award as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s 4th Annual CFO of The Year Awards Banquet. The event was held on August 12, 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel in Mission Valley, San Diego.

The San Diego Business Journal's CFO of the Year award recognizes local financial professionals for outstanding and innovative performance at their organizations. The nominees were considered by a panel of independent judges using criteria which included but was not limited to: the CFOs career success, and impact on the organization’s stability and growth.

Only forty-two CFOs were selected as finalists out of hundreds that were considered. The GTC team is honored to receive this recognition for our own Cathy Wang, the company’s CFO since 1997.

GTC Systems CEO Keith Michael Esshaki added: “Integrity and credibility are absolutely essential requirements for any CFO, and Cathy’s work is a fine example of how those traits help a company succeed. Her outstanding management of our accounting department consistently provides accurate and timely financial data to auditors, shareholders, and the GTC team.”

GTC Systems has survived, and even thrived in recent tough economic conditions – because of daily contributions from the entire GTC team. However, none of it would be possible without the intuitive, professional work done by our Accounting department, headed up by Cathy Wang. For this, we are proud to recognize her to the San Diego community.
