Nowadays Severs consume around 10% of the server hardware resources. Virtualization allows us to host up to 10 servers or more as guest Servers on one physical server host. Each server becomes like a file called a VM (Virtual machine). This is achieved by installing a piece of software called a Hypervisor on the bare metal server, converting other physical server into virtual servers and then hosting these servers as virtual machines on the hypervisor. This allows us to host servers with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) on one physical host. Benefits
